WHAT IS SACRED SOUL CIRCLE?
Sacred Soul Circle is a sacred space and creative environment for us to experience Unity through authentic expression, meditation, prayer, music, inspired singing, movement, dance, the arts and whatever medium we feel drawn to express.
We will be exploring the depths of our hearts individually and through the collective heart while also discovering God/Spirit/Christ through each other and God’s Divine experiential presence.
We will provide an open, free-flowing sacred creative environment to support the unfolding of this inspired expression and experience. Every expression is welcome as long as it is aligned with Love and for the benefit of the group. (group guidelines below)
WHY ARE WE GATHERING?
We are gathering together for the purpose to heal, celebrate, let go, transform, raise our consciousness, liberate our hearts and minds to know and realize the Oneness that unifies us all.
WHAT IS HARP AND BOWL?
The structure of the evening is based on a model called Harp and Bowl.
In Revelation 5:8 it says concerning the angels that they, “each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song.”
The harp represents music and the bowl represents prayers. When music and prayer is combined it helps keep the experience moving and assists us to stay engaged with the Spirit for longer periods of time. Usually someone will read a sacred text and then begin praying or leading a meditation. These prayers represent the bowl. Next, singers will use the prayers as a springboard to develop music around this theme – representing the harp.
There will be a music facilitator and an intuitive prayer/meditation guide. When the prayer/meditation guide prays, the music facilitator will sing phrases related to the prayer or meditation that the group can sing together, or vice versa, where the prayer follows the music. This creates a foundation of prayer and music that will intertwine throughout the evening. Further, our facilitators will stay open and sensitive to the divine flow of the Spirit and provide opportunity for those who want to contribute. We all will be co-creating together.
Harp and Bowl is only a framework to support an atmosphere of free-flowing spontaneous expression to arise within each one of us. We will not be rigid with this approach.
WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
The goal of the evening is to develop a flow and learn to let go and enter this flow.
Staying engaged in a spiritual flow for long lengths of time can assist us to move into a deeper meditation and unlock higher states of consciousness. As we do this collectively, we can experience Unity on a whole other level. Barriers can come down individually and collectively as we explore the terrain of our Sacred Souls, the known and the unknown, through the loving embrace of the Divine Father/Mother/Spirit.
Spontaneity is key to experiencing Unity, the ‘God-flow’. As we let go of our own preconceived ideas and agendas and allow a spontaneous creative flow to arise, we will naturally dive into the Collective-Unified-Spirit that is flowing through all life.
